  1. What is the difference between fine and sterling silver?
Fine silver is pure silver (0.999 or 99.9% pure).
Sterling silver is 92.5% silver to which is added other metals, primarily copper, as alloys. These other metals make the sterling harder than fine silver.

  2. Does fine silver tarnish?
Fine silver will tarnish, but not as fast as sterling. The copper in sterling will cause it to tarnish more rapidly.

  3. Why should I attend a certification class?
The certification classes are carefully planned to guide the student through the techniques for designing and constructing quality work. Click here to find a workshop.

  4. What is White Zircon? Is it man-made stone by using zircon? What is Cubic Zirconia?

White Zircon is transparent color synthetic stone which comes from natural minerals. Cubic Zirconia has a formula not existed in the nature, but it is a synthetic stone made as crystal.

Unlike imitation gemstones, most of synthetic stones have same chemicals, formula, and minerals of Natural gemstones have. The only difference between synthetic and natural stone is time of production. Natural stones need enormous time to be grown. Synthetic stones can be produced in much shorter time and cost less.

In 1904, French Scientist Dr. Bernoulli found production of synthetic Ruby. Since then, synthetic stones such as Ruby, Sapphire, Spinel, and Emerald are popular stones used for accessory embellishment, and precision instruments such as watches. Now, synthetic stone is not just a substitution of natural gemstone. It creates own field as one of the Jewelry materials by developing many new designs and cuttings.
